"La Dame Aux Camelias" (The Lady of
the Camellias) -- a novel, written by the
French author Alexandre Dumans and
firstly published in 1848 -- was Coco
Chanel's source of never ending
inspiration.
This novel -- later adopted for the
stage -- is where Coco acquired and
adopted one of her most signature
symbols: the Camellia flower adorns
almost every single Chanel garment
or item for as long as anyone can
remember.
We love Chanel's Camellias!
